Don’t worry about it honestly, I was on the same situation as you, just tell him that you don’t want to talk about it and that you’re just not ready to talk about it yet, and maybe in time you will learn to trust and open up to him if that makes sense? Don’t over think it otherwise you will put yourself through the situation twice which is horrible, if he doesn’t understand then he doesn’t understand but try and help him understand ?
